Terms of use

Last updated 23 October 2026. The rules for using ArtDuo, two-player rooms, coins and ArtDuo Premium.

These terms are an agreement between you and Gyan DataBit ("we", "us") for the use of ArtDuo: Learn How to Draw (the "app") and the website artduo.app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

1. Using ArtDuo

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app or any part of it, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Google Play's terms.

2. Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for everything done through it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings or by following the deletion guide. Our privacy policy explains what we store.

3. Drawing with others

Two-player rooms, reactions and chat are shared spaces. When you use them you agree to:

  • keep drawings, messages and voice notes friendly and suitable for all ages;
  • not share personal details such as phone numbers or addresses in a room;
  • not harass, impersonate or spam other players;
  • not try to disrupt rooms, cheat the match score or interfere with the service.

Chat is off by default and only works with friends you invite. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. ArtDuo Premium and coins

The free version includes lessons, two-player rooms and a selection of artworks, supported by non-personalised ads. ArtDuo Premium removes ads and unlocks every artwork. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, 3-month or annual) through Google Play.

  • Prices are shown in Google Play in your local currency before you buy.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions.
  • Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy.
  • Coins are a virtual item with no cash value. They can be earned in the app or by watching optional rewarded videos, and cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded.

5. Your drawings

You own the drawings you make. By drawing in a shared room you allow the other player in that room to see, save and share the finished artwork. You give us a licence to store and transmit your drawings so the app can work (sync, rooms, gallery, sharing). We do not use your drawings for marketing without asking you.

6. Our artwork and brand

The ArtDuo name, logo, app design, lesson artworks, step guides and illustrations belong to Gyan DataBit. You may draw them in the app, save your versions and share those with friends. You may not extract, copy or resell the original artwork files or use the ArtDuo name or logo without written permission.

7. Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and bug-free, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and features may change. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Ending the service

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we may discontinue the app or any feature with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Victoria, without affecting your rights under consumer law where you live.
